FAQs

  • Can I use your confetti at my venue?
Unfortunately at some churches and venues, confetti is not allowed to be thrown. Check with your venue first and let them know that our petals are natural, 100% biodegradable and dye-free.
  • Why choose Pretty Petals real petal confetti?
With more and more wedding venues prohibiting the use of man-made, wedding confetti, freeze-dried petals have become an increasingly popular choice instead. Freeze-dried petals are an eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable alternative to man-made, wedding confetti. The freeze-drying process is environmentally friendly and does not use any chemicals, therefore producing stunning, soft to touch petals that will not wilt, go wrinkly or go brown and this helps them keep their shape. Each delicate petal is light, perfectly formed and will float down gently once thrown, perfect for creating a magical confetti moment on your special day. Freeze-dried petals should not be stored in a freezer. Simply storing them in their original packaging, away from extreme temperatures and away from direct sunlight, will be fine. All our petals can be pre-ordered weeks and months in advance of your wedding or special occasion and we will then despatch them to you nearer your date. This is usually 4 weeks before the occasion, but we will arrange this with you first.
  • So what is freeze-drying?
Freeze drying is a method of preservation which maintains the natural shape and color of the petals without the use of any chemicals. Freeze drying is accomplished by a process called sublimation, that requires special freeze-drying equipment. First freezing the petals at very low temperatures of -20 or so for 24 hours whereby the moisture is taken out of the petal. The processing time varies depending on the petal but a timeframe of 14 days is about right from harvest to the finished product and of course the shape and natural colour of the petals are maintained, making them long-lasting.
  • Can I get samples of your confetti before ordering?

  • Can I place a large order?

  • Can I have my petals mixed?
We hand-mix all our petal confetti and we are more than happy to mix our petals for you. Just send us your selection through our contact page and we will get back to you once we have checked our stock. We can also send you a sample, so you can check you have made the right choice.
  • Do you sell a pure white petal?
Unfortunately the freeze-drying process does affect the colour slightly and we cannot guarantee a pure white petal. The closest colour match to a white petal that I currently provide are Bridal Bliss rose petals, Ivory hydrangea petals and Honeydew delphinium petals. However all the petals I supply do vary slightly in colour from season to season due to them being a natural product.
  • Can I leave a review?
Of course you can send us a review through our contacts page or just send us an email to info@prettypetals.co.uk. However I know how busy we all can be and sometimes we just do not have the time to sit and write a sentence or two. So we don't send through constant email campaigns asking for questions to be ansered, stars to be chosen, reviews to be written, if you are happy with our confetti just tell your friends. Finally, thank you for reading this we really do appreciate your business.
